To Those Who Care
Previous - Poetry Home - Next
I came in darkness, but now I see,
You were always there for me,
When the light seemed as thin as lace,
You were there with a comforting embrace.

Although my world was crashing down,
You stayed with me and stood your ground,
And thought my soul was rent with fear,
You always offered a welcome ear.

Before meeting you I saw no light,
The dark and murk had clouded my sight,
But with a caring hand you lead me through,
Helped me turn from feeling blue.

With open arms you took me in,
Your kindly voices rose above the din,
You all helped out, you all took part,
And you all have a place in my heart.

Now help was given, and shall be returned,
The shreds of doubt have all been burned,
My feeling for all will never end,
And I am truly honored, to call you all my friend.
