The Lone Soldier
Previous - Poetry Home - Next
Darkness Consuming,
The innocent and the young,
The world was falling into bleakness,
Something had to be done.

Out of the darkness,
A Single light,
One lone soldier,
Had taken up the fight.

The fate of the earth,
Was in his hands,
As his sword flashed forth,
And freed many lands.

The Soldier drank on the Power,
Lightning was his friend
He faced the army of darkness,
With all the power he could spend.

Then it was all over,
The fight of night and day,
A battle waged, a war won,
A small price to pay.

Death was his ally,
Lightning was his friend,
He will lay entombed forever,
Until he is summoned again.
