Blood Hunt
Previous - Poetry Home - Next
The trees go speeding by and by,
You try to scream but splutter,
Something behind, wills to try,
To lie you in the gutter.

Faster and faster your legs seem to run,
The distance seems further away,
Hours until the rising of the sun,
Whilst death is running in the fray.

The snarls behind just lead you on,
The fog lays grey and thick,
Your legs feel like they weigh a ton,
As time continues to tick.

The smell of death invades your nose,
As the hunter closes in,
He will folliw, whatever you chose,
To sink teeth into your skin.

The pain is sharp, your sight recedes,
The world just fades to grey,
The hunter triumphant, your body bleeds,
As he extends his life for another day.
